I recently began a new position as a Starr Fellow in the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University. During the 2026-2027 academic year, I will be working on completing the manuscript for my book Exile, Adventure, and the Book: Judéité in Postwar French Thought.

Previously, I worked as Visiting Assistant Professor in the French and Francophone Department at Connecticut College from 2021-2026. I was also a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Centre d'Études en Civilisations, Langues et Lettres Étrangères at the Université de Lille during 2024-2025. I completed my PhD from the Department of Comparative Thought and Literature at Johns Hopkins University in 2021.

At the Université de Lille, I was in charge of preparing the successful European Research Council Advanced Grant proposal French-Jewish Thought After 1945: A Laboratory for the Reinvention of Europe (REFEUJ). The project will begin in October 2027.

Following the publication of A Touch of Doubt: On Haptic Scepticism, I participated in a round-table discussion on the philosophical question of “haptic skepticism” in light of the COVID-19 pandemic: Suspending Touch: Haptic Skepticism for Life During a Pandemic, Institute for Cultural Inquiry, Berlin, May 2021.

My translation of Ali Benmaklouf’s The Humanity of Others was published by Stanford University Press in the summer of 2026. My translation of Marc Crépon’s book Murderous Consent was awarded the Translation Prize of the French-American Society in 2020.
